Mi16 cam cover crackle black finish

Who are people using to refinish an Mi16 cam cover in the original crackle black , what sort of price is that costing ? Has anyone used one of the VHT rattle cans to achieve the same factory finish .

I've used VHT cans and then finished them off in the oven. Media blast first though. It works well enough. It doesn't make the letters stand out obviously.

I have 3 cam covers to refinish and i am getting some blasting done soon so i will give the  can of black VHT wrinkle finish paint that i just bought a go on one and see how it turns out . I might wet sand the ribs smooth and highlight them in silver .
