Where to get a fuel level sending unit for a phase 2 GTI?

Hi, need a fuel level sending unit for my 1994 205GTI. 

I believe it is Peugeot part number 1527 96 / 1527.96 / 152796 but everywhere I find it its out of stock, feels like it as been discontinued

 

Can anyone help me with more info whether there's a new part number to use, an alternative or another type that might be compatible?

They crop up on ebay sometimes.....

Maybe try border spares who sold this.
