ArthurH 6 Posted September 3 Does anyone know how the threaded studs that pass through the bulkhead (in both directions) were attached in the factory? Some form of friction welding? I have some that I wanted to remove as they would be surplus on the race car, just something else to catch your knuckles on. I could just saw/grind them off, but would then have to do the same with the 'head' on the reverse side, so wondered if there was a neat way of removing them whole, leaving a simple hole to be grommeted. The same with the post for the jack. TiA
Tom Fenton 1,541 Posted September 4 They are resistance welded on much like a spot weld. If you carefully linish through the head side you'll be able to knock them off when you get far enough through.
