Dashboard cover peeling away.

I've removed my dashboard to do some bodywork stuff, and have been fixing a few cracks and general wear in it while its off. One thing that's stumped me is the passenger side 'trench' on top the dashboard for storing random tat. The vinyl (or whatever the coating is) has lifted away from the plastic body, so looks like it has air pockets under it. I supposed the glue that held it down has dried out now. Any tips on how to stick it back down?
