Robs_CTi 0 1 Cars Posted August 9 Hi, Wonder if I can get help here Indicators are not working at all... I got a replacement Relay as the old one was just buzzing and had nothing, new relay is working and I can hear the clicking for the indicators but the lights on the dash and the bulbs are not flashing at all I have tried multimeter on the connector and I have no power to the bulbs, earth is good if I run a piece of wire from live on connector straight to the battery the indicators on that side all come on so bulbs are good is the problem coming from the live from the relay to the connectors for the bulbs ? I'm lost now and don't know what to do....
stewal 8 Posted August 9 I have had indicator problems a few times and its always been the hazard light switch. The indicator supply goes via the hazards and because it gets used so rarely the contacts corrode. Jiggle the switch in and out slightly and the Indicator may work. I had to keep my hazard switch wedged ever so slightly in to keep the indicators operational. I eventually got it out and sprayed it with proper contact cleaner in all the gaps and that sorted it, until the next spring after a winter lay up! With the cars tge age they are, decent proper contact cleaner is your go to friend.....
