Rear Roll Bar Links - Where to get?

Recommended Posts

dst

Hey together,

Unfortunately I had to take parts off my GTI to fix a GT from a friend that actually gets driven. Now I am missing the ARB-links in the back (part 3 on the diagram) and can't seem to locate any and my regular sources don't have them.

5178.10 &  5178.11

Any ideas who to call? Need them shipped to Germany and have no problem paying properly... Super annoying especially since the car now runs nicely again with new plugs.

Cheers!

we've all given parts away and regretted it a bit, but the GT's away so there's that

I've not seen those ARB fixing plates sold anywhere

checked BakerBM, Youngtimers, peugeot shop, serie04, nothing

you may have to find a parts car,

or maybe someone has a rear beam for parts they could sell you a set

there are some specialist rear beam builders on here sometimes that may have a set to sell

or ebay

the peugeot part catalog gives the GTi/Rallye plates different numbers to the base model ones

517810 & 11 versus 517812 & 13

I've never had a GTi rear beam to strip but I suspect GTi ARB plates are identical to the base model

It's all identical - and the GT is still within arms reach in my shop but either way I need a second set to get stuff back together.

I am currently contemplating sourcing a complete rear beam just for those plates. They are completely identical and seem like an easy part to get from someone who parts 205s, but unlike with my Porsche stuff I don't know anyone in Germany.

Thx nonetheless!

5178-10/11 are the surviving ones on the parts catalog, I think it's just the plate that is thicker. You can also find them on 309s except for the GTI16 that is using 306/ZX ones.

Gti version arb levers are thicker than lesser spec 205s and 309s.

309s should have the thick ones by default, even base 309 rear beams are "heavy duty spec" compared to 205 ones.

Dang I should've waited! I was able to source a set from Spoox - not cheap but coming my way!

Good to know the GTI ones are thicker, I am going to swap mine back as soon as I can then!

@DamirGTI - I'll surely memorize you another time.

Thanks guys!
