Centre console - stuck

Hi all,

 

Been trying to remove my centre console to get the carpet out for a clean ..but it just wont come out . Removed the nuts under the radio and the one under the gearstick..lifted it up at the back and pulled backwards..but it's dragging the dashboard out with it. I dont think my nerves will take anymore brittle plastic creaking sounds so if anyone could suggest what else to try ?

There's a screw either side on the front edges

Thanks welshplug. I found that screw in the Haynes manual after peeling back the carpet. But the console still wont pull out with them removed

Out now phew..I had to ignore the Haynes manual and  put the side screws back in so the dashboard was held firmly.  The 'wings'  needed pulling out to release the console .it was well wedged there!
