S16 piston identification

Recommended Posts

How can I confirm some pistons are S16? Been sold a set but want to be sure 100% before i start buying bearings etc.

Also what bearings, thrust spacers, rings etc should I buy if they are going into XU10J4RS?

Ø23mm full floating pin, compression height 39.1mm

You're measuring the diameter at the wrong place. Max diameter is below the pin. They aren't parallel.

Rod bearings are the same as XU9 8V and 16V. Best are these from ACL. Fairly sure I use std XU10 thrust and ACL mains bearings.

No idea where you'll buy rings from. Thus why I suggested long ago that forged replacements are better value.
