Fitting sliding sunroof frame

Recommended Posts

Jimbo200022

Good evening all. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my 205. I need to get the sunroof frame back on the shell. Can the frame be fitted with Tiger seal, and the sunroof screws(and riv nuts).

Has anyone done this with success or would it be best to order the foam seal from France? Or does anyone know of a UK dealer that makes the sunroof frame seal?

The foam was fairly cheap from Peugeot France but out of stock last time I checked., as the roof is likely to flex a bit Tigerseal may not be ideal and would crack and leak.

I have a new rear seal I won't use.

I fitted the actual frame to the roof with 3M foam tape like oe

@jord294 where did you manage to find the foam tape? Has it held ok? No leaks?

Thanks, really wasn't sure but I suppose it's best not to go with Tiger seal then. Thanks

It's back in stock at the museum ,postage won't be that cheap so best to get a few items at once if you need anything else ,I bought 2 rolls each roll is 4 metres but not fitted yet so best to measure around sunroof and see what you need .I noticed from the factory they overlapped the foam at the corners were it joined the side foam rather than just butt it together , I guess it squishes down ok as its soft and you could get a leak if not overlapped.
