No, has to be for a 205 aluminium block tu3,  the deck heights vary to the iron blocks.  there's a dozen different part numbers for the dipsticks on a tu, the later ones have a larger diameter top with a ring pull and an O ring seal

Thanks Welshpug saved me a trip to the scrappy ..I found a TU3S dipstick for a 205 but it's in Germany.

I don't suppose you know if the   head gasket set  for the TU3MC engine  (iirc 1.4 injection engine fitted to 306/xsara etc?)    is compatible with the 205 TU3S ?

You can buy new ones for cheap, either 1174.49 or 1174.44

http://prepparts.free.fr/docs/catalogue/cataloguepeugeot/GB/205N/1/11A10B.HTM

http://prepparts.free.fr/docs/catalogue/cataloguepeugeot/GB/205N/1/11A10D.HTM

Peugeot Classic is selling OEM 1174.49 for 28,08 € and 1174.49 sourced from SASIC for 8,75 €.

As for the head gasket alone as long as it's for a TU3 with alloy block it should be OK:

You can find parts diagrams for 205 and others on the links I posted.

Parts diagrams for older cars are at Servicebox Classic but they only have 104, 203, 204, 304, 305, 403, 404, 504, 505 and 604.

Thanks SRDT that's a very good site. Dipstick ordered... I don't suppose you have a part number for the exhaust manifold heat shield and the corrugated tube  to the air box on the 1.4 XS ?
