Rear stub axle and wheel bearings

Think I have got a bent rear stub axle.

Do I need to replace the wheel bearings/hub as well or can I reuse them as it does not appear to be worn?

IMO you should only need to replace the stub axle, I don't think the bearing/ hub will be damaged.

Its been a good while since I changed a stub axle and I think I replaced the wheel bearing at the same time, so it did not matter then.

The only problem you might have is if you try to pull the hub off the stub axle first, the bearing will more than likely separate, leaving the inner race on the stub axle but if you drive the stub axle out, the bearing will stay together.

Just taken off the outer cover to the bearing/hub, quite a bit of old semi dry grease.

Think I might do the bearings at the same time, any ideas what is a good make of bearing at the moment?
