Missing bolt? Gearbox end.

Quick question.

Car is dripping a tiny drop of oil gearbox end every now and then.

Checked under her earlier. I assume there is supposed to be a bolt in this hole?

Seems to be M10 with very little room for the head of bolt to turn.

Thanks for advice.

Should be gearbox bolt yes , but from the gearbox side in .

Could be leaky dizzy O-ring , valve cover gasket , thermostat housing to head joint , possibly head gasket too .. or oil shifted around by the flywheel (leaky rear main seal or hockey stick seals)

Clean up/de-grease first then inspect , there's an trick to pinpoint oil leak with powder or even better - UV dye which you add to engine oil (like for AC systems)

But it looks like slight leak/oozing , i'd simply ignore it for a while tbh. !

Thanks D.

That's what I suspected.

Will fit bolt.  See what happens then.  Only seems to be small like. May ignore as you suggest.
