Hi Guys

Will overfilling a be gearbox damage it? Or would more Oil create more cooling?

Too much oil means more drag so more power loss so more heat inside the gearbox.

You should also have more emulsion and air bubbles don't conduct heat that well.

You just asked about too much so it's easy to answer, now how much is too much / too little for your application that's a tricky question.

Some may be pushed out the vent on fast cornering if it's overfilled a lot maybe but can't see how it would damage  it other than making a mess.

If it runs hot enough the alloy casings will expand and the bearings preload will be off.
