Fuel pump feed

Recommended Posts

boldy205

Hi all.

Can someone point me in the direction of where the switched feed for the fuel pump comes from on my 1991 1.9 205 Gti please?

Car has a Gti6 conversion, with an aftermarket duel fuel pump/swirl pot setup. Basically the relay I'm using to power the fuel pumps is made live by the original fuel pump switched live, which isn't working/coming live with 2nd switch of ignition switch.

I've searched,  this takes me to the tachy relay (I think) which I presume has been replaced with the dual relay in on the 306 gti6 loom?

Thanks!

Matt

Right, thanks for the confirmation.  It was new 6 years ago, but the relays do cause problems. It's been sat for 4 of those years though

I'll test for voltage when cranking next then

Cheers.

Just had another look.

Seems like an issue with the supply to the engine loom possibly as I have no spark or supply to the fuel pump.

The plug for the double relay has 12v in a few of the pins.

Anyone have a pin out for the double relay? I'm struggling to find anything.

Cheers

There's a wiring diagram that shows the double relay in This post you should be able to make out what pin on the relay does what & where the power goes into the relay etc.

Thanks for all the posts, guys.

The car has been dismantled for a few years now. Seems when adding the EPAS I had to cut out some wiring to remove the old column.

One of these wires was the switched live for the immobiliser.......

Needless to say, its all sorted now.

Great to hear it back to life!!!
