MOMO Peugeot 205 steering wheel, looking for info

Hey guys and girls,

First off, I'm new here and looking for some info on, what I believe, is an MOMO for a Peugeot 205. I think it was a dealer option, but I can't find much about it. I found one photo of the same wheel, in what I believe to be a Peugeot Talbot Sports accessoires cataloge/folder. I myself am not a 205 guy, but a steering wheel guy.

The wheel looks a bit like a MOMO GT, but has some differences. First, is the crashpad, GT's done have one. Second is the horn button hole. The hole is a perfect fit for a MOMO horn, while other MOMO wheels need a horn retainer behind the wheel. It is 370mm, and came with an Peugeot centercap (without a horn mechanism), and a 205 Phase 1 steering hub. The hub has a normal MOMO number on it, 6809, but also another unusual number: 9646-24. The wheel has been used, but is in good shape.

I also got a second NOS hub, in a Peugeot/Talbot branded box. This makes me believe it was sold at a dealership and not an aftermarked sale. The hub looks the same as the other one, but the second number on it is 9646-12. The box came also with an horn button, and a tab which you can mount on the hub to cancel out the indicator.

Since I can't find much about this wheel, I presume they're quite rare. Do any of you know more about these? How where they sold originally? Are the hubs different then the 'normal' MOMO 205 hubs? What is it worth these days?

I've added some photo's in the attachments. If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Rein

9646-12 is indeed a Peugeot part number, as seen here:

https://arpaouest.org/Catalogues/Catalogues_205/Catalogue_Equipements_205_1988/mobile/#p=3

As for the market price it's hard to tell, the "Turbo 16" and the MOMO wheel with the "Champion du monde" centercap are sought after but for others wheels you need to find the right guy.

Having the Peugeot part number on it can be a big deal for some people as it means it's a legitimate Peugeot part that they can bolt on their 205... unlike the exact same part sourced from MOMO.

Thanks for the info and the folder! The wheel itself is mentioned in there aswell, as 9646-11, although it is not written on the wheel itself.
