stumpyjag 6 Posted July 12, 2021 (edited) Hi all. Has anyone done anything to modify a Cti roof to make it easier to close. My wife has hurt her back trying to close it and in hind sight it is quite heavy. I have checked the small gas struts and they are both ok but wondered if anyone had found away to assist more or is it full electric or nothing? Thanks. sp_en_ny 17 1 Cars Posted July 13, 2021 I think it would be a case of all electric or not, what you could do is give all the moving joints a squirt with WD40 or something similar that will certainly ease the opening and closing of the roof, when I lubricated my roof it made a huge difference, so much so when closing the hood instead of it slowly lowering the hood by the motor it just falls shut and so i have to be ready to catch it now to stop it banging and putting any unnecessary extra strain on the forever tiring 30 year old motor. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
