Oil Cooler Pipe O-rings

Recommended Posts

rob_mitch

Hi,

When I removed the radiator / oil cooler from a 1987 205 GTi 1.9, there was an oil seal in only one of the 2 joints with the sandwich plate.

So i need some replacements but I read elsewhere on the forum that these are no longer supplied by Peugeot and I cant find any other sources online.

I have attached some pictures of the blue O-ring with a squarish cross-section !

Could anyone confirm if this is the correct part before I start trying to source some new ones ?

Thanks,

Rob

Was it the seal behind the sandwich plate or the cooler pipes into the front oil cooler rad ?

Just ordered some round section rings on Ebay, thanks for the advice on size.

Out of interest is that blue ring the original Peugeot part or just something one of the previous owners had "to hand".  Only one fitted which would explain why one of the joints tended to seep oil even after being tightenend.
