Hi,

my engine is the 115 hp version ( the spec says it's should be 9.8:1). how do i convert it to PSI ?

i've did a compression test on my engine with a cheap gauge and got:

1 - 150psi

2- 140psi

3- 150psi

4- 150 psi.

is it OK?

thanks

Ido

It's near impossible to convert static CR to cranking pressure. Whilst they are related, the cranking pressure doesn't start until the inlet valve shuts. Cranking pressure is also affected by atmospheric pressure and rod length/angle. So long as they're all similar, you're fine. If one were say 100 and the rest 140-150, you'd have an issue.
