ignition barrel wiring routining

Now that I’ve got my non start problem fixed, I’m  working through all of the wiring tidying it, re crimping terminals and a general tidy up. I was looking at the ignition barrel wiring and was wondering what it’s originaL routing was.

does it run along the left side of the steering column and the feed through the column support? It’s quite a long length of wiring . 

Soes any one have a photo?
