Rotisserie alternative

Recommended Posts

As I have seen a few 205 on rotisserie lately, I thought I would share with you my wooden alternative. I am by no means he first one to do this, I got the idea from a Google search. But I did find it very easy, fast and cheap to make. I already had most of the stuff lying around, just had to buy a couple of 2x6s. I think all in the cost was a round 30candain dollars (under 20 quid) and probably took about 4hours to build. The only disadvantage is you can only roll the car through 90degrees, but whilst restoring my 1977 chev vega, I haven't found this to be a problem. Two reasonably strong guys (one in each wheel well) can easily roll it over, and it is very well balanced once up on its side. When you want the car up on its other side, just reverse the wooden jigs so the curve is on the other side of the car.

If anyone wants any more detailed pictures or instructions, please let me know, but I thinks it's fairly self explanatory
