Bootfloor repair section

Recommended Posts

I'm in the midst of tackling the rearmost bodywork of the car. The bootfloor corners need a decent amount of cutting back, and the flange between the bootfloor edge and rear panel is not too clever at the mid point of the floor.

Until 10 minutes ago I hadn;t appreciated there was a repair section available for the whole rear portion.

It's from Ex-Pressed Steel panels.

At just over £50 I'm thinking this looks economically much easier than messing around fashioning sections to match the ribs in the floor.

Has anyone got any experience of this panel and it's quality?

That, coupled with fresh bumper mounts, should make for a good repair.

Thanks,

Brian

I bought the full floor.

I will be fitting it in the coming weeks the panel is very good quality being made from thicker gauge steel.

Apparently it was replicated from an original peugeot panel, so hopefully should be a straightforward replacement.

That sounds like a great option, I cut a donor part from another 205, it was a difficult job to get the panel out undamaged and complete. At £50, I would definitely have gone for that :D

Thanks guys - I think I'll go for it. Seems logical, and if it's a decent quality part it should be slightly less challengining than fashioning up something myself.

Cheers,

Brian
