Hi what is filler in the inner wing for and can you buy replacements as mine is rotten

Just looked on the net apparently its an absorber for the fuel vent system still can't find where to get a replacement.... any ideas

Yup , it's the part of the EVAP system - charcoal canister ...

 

Not sure if they're still available , but base model Spi injection TU's had the same so you might find second hand one from (injection) base model .

 

Or even from some other car brand/make to retrofit on yours .

 

Anyhow , do you really need this system ?

To me it's not worth the effort/money spending on it so i'd rather take it off/disable .. leave just the EVAP solenoid and keep it connected .
