Some many questions. Such as which block? What fuel?

16v head, custom exhaust manifold and a turbo to suit.

Fuel pump upgrade as the standard pump is not quite capable of flowing for 300 bhp, especially on turbo engines that tend to be run richer.

oh and a fully built gearbox, diff, driveshafts, as a standard BE box will not like the torque.

As suggested, I guess there's two ways you can do it, 8V head or 16V head. With either way, you'll need new pistons, as you can't fit a 16V head on 8V pistons. If 8V, you'll need 15-20psi, thus forged pistons anyway and make it 9.5:1. You'll also need a decent turbo,  GT2860 or similar.

.. and to pile up all this together , will need solid bank account too ! :P

Anyhow .. Peter , any particular reason why 16V heads wont work with the 8v pistons ? ... as i seem to remember that there's enough clearance if using 2.0 T flat top pistons from the RGY (contrary to the dished ones from the later RGX variant) .

You may well be right. I was thinking flat pistons, level with the deck. You'd want to measure it though.
