Sensor near distributor

Recommended Posts

North

Hi, Does anyone know what this sensor is?  Cable runs from a connector under the inlet manifold. Sensor is under and around the back of the distributor. It seems to have broken off

The connector under the manifold does not seem to be connected

Isn't that the engine rev sensor (no TDC) used by the Peugeot dealer's diag station back in the days?

If the car is running fine without it then it must be it.

Yes, as above, throw it in the bin!

it is used to get a timing reference for some really outdated diagnostic equipment, it's basically redundant.
