ATK 140 1 Cars Posted March 9, 2020 Hi all clutch has done under 5k miles but has always had a very low biting point. Would improve driveability with a higher biting point, is there an easy way of adjusting for more pedal travel?
Atlaskrukvaxt 5 Posted July 18, 2020 (edited) If it is a self adjusting cable (like in my 405) no. I've ordered a replacement clutch cable with an adjustable nut that I'll be putting in. The adjustment is then done with the nut(s) at the clutch end of the cable that is attached to the lever arm. Also check this thread Best wishes. T. welshpug 1,656 Posted July 18, 2020 205 never used a self adjusting clutch cable, there will be a 13 and 10mm lock nut on the end of the cable, some are 2x 10mm nuts. there is a measurement specified in the Haynes manual, but typically about the same height as the brake pedal is a good starting point.
