Changing lower fork Bush

Recommended Posts

Can you change the lower fork bush without removing the lower mount? Also I've read a 106 bush is a good upgrade anyone fitted one?

Yes, you can remove the fork without removing the lower mount or the driveshaft that runs through it.

You need to swing the motor forward a bit to get the clearance but it will definitely come out.

No idea about the 106 bush but BakerBM reproduce them now anyway. (possibly only in group N?)

Thanks for the reply I bought a 306 group n upper buffer to replace the standard 205 ones but there was too much vibration but when I thought about it when I changed the engine mounts I never renewed the fork bush, I think a group n one may again give too much vibration?

I wouldn't have thought so given it has the large bush on the other end but it's possible.
