Gear shift knob replacement and mount

Hi. My gear knob starts to develop a nice crack and will soon need replacement.

I wonder what are my options? The Ebay solution looks doggy, I don't know how they are comparing to the original one.
I tried to print a knob but the mount on the gear stick is very strange, looks like a "toothed" Plus sign.

 

Can you please direct me to a good replacement or/and to a proper adapter for the knob mount to more convenient fit like screwing?

Peugeot Museum do a replacement 1.6 knob - about £25 iirc - when I was looking some months ago, I couldn't find a decent one anywhere else.
