Phase 1.5 door lock actuator

I’ve been having problems with my centra locking system, I worked out that the actuator is kaput. I’ve been trying to find one and it ain’t easy.

 

so I started looking around for solutions and I came across the double relay trick  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_door_locks which in verts the polarity to the actuators. I was going to see if I could get it to work using the actuator as the switch. Has one else tried this or found another solution .
