NATHAN GAYMER 0 Posted October 23, 2019 Hi Please bear with me as I am new to this and am not great with computers anyway ( I leave that to my kids ) I am after some advice / recommendations on very good restoration specialists for my 205 . I bought a Sorrento green 1.9 over 4 years ago and it has never been used and I am looking into having it fully restored and I want it as new ! I am extremely fussy and literally want it as new / fully stripped etc. etc. it failed the MOT in 2015 on some corrosion etc. underneath and has been in the garage ever since ! so if anybody can offer some good specialists who take pride in there work and know there 205's inside out then that would be much appreciated. location isn't a problem as long as they are the best. thank you Nathan
Telf 224 2 Cars Posted October 23, 2019 How deep are your pockets?!? Look through some of the restoration threads on here before you start. Whatever figure you have in mind double it as a minimum. Ask yourself if you can see it through to the end . As an example I thought my Resto would cost £5k . It cost nearly £14k and I rebuilt it single handed which saved a lot. Not wanting to put you off but just make yourself fully aware of the likelihood any restoration may spiral and suffer mission creep along the way.

Thats after having completed 2 restorations and being on my third now.

SootySport 23 Posted November 5, 2019 Pug Racing at Fordingbridge know them inside out and restore a few Pugs. Paying them to do the whole job always costs so if you can do the mechanical bits yourself it will reduce the overall costs. Also best to use a Pug 205 specialist as they can source the parts easily.
