s34nog 0 Posted September 27, 2019 Hi all, First post! Anyone know where to get quality front door rubber seals and also same for rear quarter windows? My wee 1.9 is in for a respray and I'm looking to scrap the existing rubber. The rear quarter lights were leaking for years - only found this out when i lifted the carpet. Underfelt was swimming. Obvs dont want a repeat performance. I found vehicletrimuk on ebay who are offering these at good money but not sure how good they are. I tried the l'aventure site but its a nightmare! Any advice greatly appreciated! Sean
hoodygoodwood 70 3 Cars Posted September 28, 2019 When i was looking for new seals for my 309 the prices for new OE door seals were getting a bit silly so i cut a small sample piece off the knackered one and kept it in my pocket at all the shows/autojumbles i went to . There are some good traders about that specialise in interior trims , seals carpets and mats etc , they have some pretty good modern replacements which come on a drum , all you need to do is find one that matches the cross section of your sample and then get them to cut you the right length . Measure the length of the old seal and make the new ones longer to allow for future shrinkage . The door seal , rear side window seal and boot seals are all different profiles . You might find these traders online .
