camgti 56 Posted April 30, 2019 We have finally finished our 205 race car after a 4 year effort from our mechanic. Turned a wheel in it a few weeks ago and thought I would post it up. Big thanks to the forum for all the years of operation. Ive been on here over 15 years and have loved the journey of learning about 205s.
barneys66 123 1 Cars Posted April 30, 2019 Congrats! Very, very nice indeed - some great details. What's the plan now..?
Andy 105 1 Cars Posted April 30, 2019 Looks amazing. As Barney says, some lovely details. Where did you get those master cylinder reservoirs from? Lovely fitting directly into the cylinders.
camgti 56 Posted April 30, 2019 Thanks. Credit to Morarty Motorsport for the work. I believe they are AP cylinders with matching res. Plans are to get the suspension, geometry etc all working well over the next year and learn to drive it fast! We are collicting all the data we can to make improvements where necessary. The car is built to a set of rules which dont allow to much modification of the suspension. Ie no special bottom arms etc and limitations on the roll cage going through the firewall etc. There is room for moving the pickup point of the wishbones but that will all come later. First day out we completed 60 laps without issue so fingers crossed when we are st the track we are driving it!

SimonJ 2 Posted May 2, 2019 Hi, What type of paint did you use for the interior and was it sprayed or brush painted? Suspect the former, hoping for the latter! Thanks.
JeffR 51 Posted May 5, 2019 Car looks great Cam. Huw’s work is exceptionable. I’ve seen Cal’s red 205 GTi6 (my old car), and it's the same high standard. Enjoy it, well worth the wait.
