How to empty water filled cylinders?

Recommended Posts

Bovien

I might have a cracked head, or a catastrophic inlet gasket failure. When removing my inlet manifold, I also managed to get water into a couple of the cylinders.

How do I empty them? I'm thinking churn engine without sparkplugs in? Do I simply unplug ignition module? Or is there a better way to avoid any risk of sparks?

Also, avoiding fuel in there would be preferable. Could I easily remove the fuel rail and unplug the injectors?

unplug the injectors, spark plugs out, and I'd also give it a bit of wd40 or diesel to help get the water out and lube the bores  bit.

Thanks! Worked like a charm!

Car still doesn't run, but now it's dry in the cylinders

I also did that mistake before.

On top of what you did, I put oil into cylinders and rotated the engine to lubricate the surfaces to protect them from rusting.

The engine is working nicely nowadays..
