4ll5op 8 Posted March 5, 2019 ok cool we have a 0.375" ejector pin which should do the job. are the ends of the original tapered?
jackherer 543 Posted March 5, 2019 They're rounded off, look at the cups that receive it and you'll see what it needs to look like.

4ll5op 8 Posted March 6, 2019 the pedal is working fine and is level with brake pedal, but the bite is near bottom of travel and cannot adjust the nuts anymore as they are at end of the thread
jackherer 543 Posted March 6, 2019 Have you checked the arm the cable goes onto? They can fatigue, crack and bend as you tighten the cable.
4ll5op 8 Posted March 6, 2019 no i haven't to be honest are they easy to replace? just seemed weird that the new cable makes the pedal sit lower than the old cable.
jackherer 543 Posted March 6, 2019 If it's cracked just take it to someone with a MIG and get it welded up.

jackherer 543 Posted March 6, 2019 The fork that sticks out of the gearbox can come loose on the balljoint inside, or the balljoint itself can come loose, it is just riveted on IIRC. Were the cables identical? Did you compare them?
4ll5op 8 Posted March 6, 2019 yes i compared cables and wouldnt say identical but same part number and same length. just different types of plastic /rubber washers
