Blanking the Distributor on a standard 8V

Recommended Posts

Telf

As Im using a wasted spark coil for my project rather than a distributor im wondering what solutions might have been used to blank off the gap where the distributor was.

Is there are part that fits from a more modern engine?

I was thinking of dummy fitting the dizzy to keep it looking original or just ditching it completely. Id considered chopping the mounting face off the dizzy and fabricating a mounting point for the wasted coil pack but if there are any ready made solutions I'd be glad to hear them!

Thanks
