More not remembering where things go....

Haven't had the engine out for 11 years. Anyone know what connects in each pic? For context, the first pic is the back of the casting that the distributors goes into, the second is near the starter (these weren't connected before so mustn't be essential) and the third is obvious but wanting to know what pipes go to the bronze outlets and where those pipes then go?

Definitely going to take photos before dismantling next time.

Dan (dcc), this is finally your engine in but moving house next Friday so progress will be slow over Christmas.

Top picture - the two single spade senders are for the dash coolant temperature guage and warning light (taller is the light, shorter the guage) and the 2 pin sensor is the coolant temperature sensor for the ECU - they'll be a corresponding blue coloured 2 pin plug on the loom.

Bottom picture - the large outlet is for the radiator top hose, the medium sized side outlet goes to the heater matrix and the small takeoff goes to the header tank (there's also a bleed point).  The header tank connection as standard normally goes via the underside of the throttle body first, but I tend to get rid of that loop completely as it's not needed in the UK climate and obviously it's not there if you're running carbs / ITB's.

Has someone given your starter motor a bit too hard of a whack? Looks like your gearbox casing is cracked..

Thanks Anthony.

Yep, casing cracked when I tightened the bolt through to the starter (just by hand). Thinking about whether to get welded or get a new casing - just got that one blasted and painted.
