Brake caliper bolts

Recommended Posts

Dear people,

I’ve a short question this time. I have a baseline 1.1, 205. But I had a mechanic installed 1.6 GTi brake calipers and rotors. The brake caliper is Bendix 329269. The two M12x1.5 bolts to mount the brake caliper read class 12.9. Now 12.9 is about the strongest type and I’m wondering if Peugeot specified this originally. I want to replace these bolts, but the servicebox does not specify the strength class. Do you know this? Please be sure, it’s the car brakes you know.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Maarten

I'm going to order from a general fastener supplier not Peugeot.

If anyone can provide me the number on the head of this bolt and be certain it is original. Then I have every specification to order a correct one and be safe. I doubt my current 12.9 is original. Also the length is 80mm. Maybe the original is ISO and now I'm going for DIN but that doesn't matter.
