What does a locked gti6 ECU cut?

Pretty much as title. Just tried to start my gti6 conversion for the first time. It fried the alternator wire, looks to be a dead alternator shorting to earth so not worried there. It primes the fuel but doesn't have any squirt or spark.

Does that fit the bill for immobiliser as I know it also fits the bill for crank sensor which is a genuine new part.

Sorted, tested ECU on a different car and it works so back to checking sensors
