Out of date timing belt

I ordered a new timing belt from ECP which arrived this morning.

 

It is a contibelt and on the end of the box has “Install <08 / 2016” which I presume is a beat before date.

 

Has anyone found the same with a new timing belt or is this a one off?

 

I didn’t manage to get through to them today to raise the issue but I’m concerned that all their timing belts will be the same era with the number of these cars on the road and stock rotation.
