I've just taken a 1.9 GTi F reg as a part exchange. It was a recent barn find. A mate went up to start this farmers tractor, and there it was in the barn. Last on the road in 2007. It's been suggested it's a Rolland Garros version. It has full black leather, bottle green colour wise, with a manual factory fit sunroof. I'll have more details when I get it. In the mean time, does anybody know if the RG existed in 1.9 form?

There are several 205 GTI special editions but, as far as I'm aware, this is the only 205 called Rolland Garros:

With a matching Cabriolet version:

They've got pretty distinctive interiors too:

Therefore, I suspect that you might have a limited edition full leather Sorrento Green GTI:

Hope this helps and make sure yo post the photos when you get the car - pre and post wash! :)

beaten to it by Nik!

however a sorrento was never made earlier than a G reg iirc??

rg was essentially a special edition based on the 85 bhp alloy tu3s 1360cc single carb engine.
