dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted July 4, 2017 With people trying to track down their old cars, or interested to know if they're still on the go, or interested in knowing it's wee brother, I think it would be good to start a register.All it would take is to use the quote function and add the car at the correct spot on the list which will hopefully develop.I understand some people might be precious about the privacy of their reg no's etc and might not want to add.To manage it well and for it to develop, care would need to be taken in the format of the reg number when the user adds it to the list. The Year and place of registration (from the reg number) would be the priority, with the number part of the reg's falling into order. Anyone who understands the format can rectify position of the details etc. Only original registration numbers should be added (private reg'd cars should use the original reg number for the car)So I was thinking for UK main island cars the sorting them would look like:1. Year.2. Place of registration (alphabetical)3. Numerical number after year. (Low to high, i.e. 81 is higher up the list that 241, use spaces if you have a short format plate)4. Original Engine size5. Colour (use basic colour names)6. User name) in brackets.7. Year added to the list or year purchased ONLY if you are the current owner, (or were the owner when it got scrapped).8.
