NufcMark 1 1 Cars Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) Just bought my 1991 Phase 2 1.6, and more than happy with it. A nice polish with Autoglym HD Wax has brought the paint up really well, and in my experience lasts around 3 to 5 months, but I'm looking for a quality, long lasting bumper / plastic trim product that gives a good clean and doesn't fade again after a week. Any suggestions? Edited March 19, 2017 by NufcMark

Hheppy 9 1 Cars Posted March 20, 2017 I always used Autoglym Bumper Care.
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted March 22, 2017 I would try this http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/exterior-trim-plastic-care/gyeon-q2-trim/prod_1610.html I've got it on my mini, and although the front lower trim/splitter has become a bit faded, the sides seem to have stood up well a year later. I wouldn't use it on Ph1/1.5 though. Also worth reading up on whether or not a sealant is required over the top of it, but I don't think it does.
Gaz205 50 Posted March 22, 2017 I've just ordered wurth black plastic dye... I'll let you know how I get on when it arrives
jackherer 543 Posted March 22, 2017 I haven't run out of Plasticare yet so I haven't tried it but I have high hopes for the Wurth product, the adverts for it often show it being applied to a 205 specifically so it *should* be perfect for our cars.

dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted March 24, 2017 I might try this on my Mini's splitter, it seems to get good initial reviews, as always it's hard to find reviews for 1000 miles later. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/exterior-trim-plastic-care/valet-pro-black-to-the-future-dressing-250ml/prod_1496.html
Gaz205 50 Posted March 24, 2017 My wurth dye arrived, applied a rushed single coat to one trim and I'm very impressed. My trims are grey and it's totally covered all imperfections and after a 2nd coat later I'm sure they will look 10/10
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted March 24, 2017 They all look good when they're put on, it's 3 months down the line that determines how good they are. Mind let us know ????
Gaz205 50 Posted March 24, 2017 It'll be a fine weather car so may not be the best test for it, but of course I will update
