309 Gti Arms - Oversized Bushes?

Recommended Posts

driversdomainuk

Hi All

I'm fitting 309 arms on my 205. I purchased some poly bushes but have noticed the poly bushes fit the front hole but the rear hole on the arms are too big...

Any ideas why, and what I need to order?

~Thanks

The bushes are in two sizes. You should have a pair of large with 12mm hole in the middle and a pair of small with 10mm.

Poly bushes on a 205 are awful anyway. Buy the best quality oe type rubber bushes you can get is my advice.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that polybushes are universally awful on 205's - the Rally Design ones I've found to work and last well for example - but agree that my choice would be OE bushes.

By "last well" the Sport (yellow) bushes on my old 205 did over 30k miles and were still fine when removed, and the ones on my current car have been on there for around 10k and are still fine.

My 205 is for track use mainly - in road going class, hillclimbs and only cover 500 miles a year. I'm using black series bushes
