The engine/induction noise sounds very similar inside to a SC'd GTI6, i assume the guy has been round there a few times!

Nae chance. Listen to that induction hammer. And the way that Megane comes past at the start, he's not got the fat wallop of torque that would go with a ~230bhp+ SC set up.

Maybe, but you don't know what's been done to the Megane..... the 205 looks as though it's motoring to me.

What's "induction hammer"?

 

I'm assuming it's a knocking noise in the inlet caused by insufficient air supply?

 

I thought the knocking was his rev limiter getting bounced off.
