Gaz Gha Damping Adjustment

Recommended Posts

jonb_5

Hi,

I know I am more than likely being stupid but I have been recommended to put sifter springs on my coilovers and GAZ have recommended softening the Damping by a couple of clicks.

Now, I am thinking if you take the nut off of the tip of the coilover you should be able to use the hex to turn the shaft one way or another and count the amount of turns until it stop to give a benchmark that I can adjust back from??

Is this how they work?? As mine seem to just spin and spin??

Many Thanks

Jon

Yeah that's the issue there isn't a knob anywhere.

Maybe there not adjustable.

Thanks

IIRC the early Gaz's have the adjuster shaped like a hex nut on the top of the shaft and you adjust it with a separate key/knob thing.

I just found some pics via google.

If the top of them looks like this:

You can adjust them with a key like this:

And

The early ones had a habit of the nut coming off on the bottom off the adjuster internally if it's the one with the key type on the top,
