Good evening

I've been rebuilding my 205 gti L430 RAC for about a year now . I have rebuilt the inner wings and now have the engine back . Im just loosing the will to live with a few things . And any help would be great .

1. The front of the engine next to the oil filter there are two sensors fitted . What are the connections for this I have spade conectors that will reach no idea which colour of wire goes on which one .

2. Around the back of the engine I also have two sensors one on the oil drain plug and and mid way . I clearly have a cable that will fit the oil drain but which how do I route the cable . It starts from the engine airflow area next to the battery .

3. I can't seem to find my starter motor connection

Also any pictures of where these pipes are conntected will be a great help . I've done the obvious but I have one with two pipes comiming out of a plastic jacket on main pipe . I also can't seem to see which is the pipe that connects to the oil filler module and the lower block connections at the front.

I'm near high Wycombe if any one wants to be paid for a few hours to save my head from bouncing around.

Many thanks in advance

Hello, I'm doing a similar job myself so I can help with a couple of things...

The sensors near the oil filler are oil pressure gauge and oil pressure light, grey(30b) and orange (30) wires. the gauge is the smaller of the sensors..

The sensors on the back.. Some engines have a knock sensor, yours being L reg this could be possible. the sensor on the sump is the oil level sensor. Cant help with wiring on these as my car doesn't have them!

The starter wire is a thick (2mm) blue (46b) and goes straight to the solenoid.

Maybe peel back the tubing on the harness as they do tend to snap off if they have been damaged.
