Will 106 Gti Rear Shocks Fit 205 Gti?

My rear shock are bad I need to replace them and had a friend who offered 2 new 106 gti rear shocks they look alike but I wonder if they fit

they are quite a bit shorter.

Not sure if they're any easier to find in Oman, but Peugeot 306 or Citroen ZX/Xsara (not Xsara Picasso) rear shocks will fit, and the sport spec ones (S16, GTi-6, VTS etc) are a little stiffer than the 205 items so considered a small upgrade.

I did fixed them now they are shorter just like welshpug said but they are in now.

 

There is a clunk in rear end before and after rear shocks changing sounds like metal to metal when in bumps
