soundguy 13 Posted December 6, 2016 Hi, can anyone ID any of these loom connectors please? Do the yellow multis need to connect to the each other, because I've binned the junction that I think they were attached to - ie, the same junction that's inside the rear bodywork area where the passenger light cluster mounts. soundguy 13 Posted December 6, 2016 Thanks, trying to upload from a phone, will have to do this from a puter. Does the black connect to the back of the bulb mount with the spring clip?

Anthony 1,003 Posted December 6, 2016 Hi, can anyone ID any of these loom connectors please? Black one is the main H4 headlight bulb, so yes, the one with the spring clip. The white one looks like it's the one for the ABS, assuming that it's a Ph2 car and located near the expansion tank. If so it's typically disconnected (unless you have the optional ABS fitted, of course). Do the yellow multis need to connect to the each other, because I've binned the junction that I think they were attached to - ie, the same junction that's inside the rear bodywork area where the passenger light cluster mounts. The yellow multiplugs you mention sound like earth plugs - if so, you need to have them attached to the earth point (the bit it sounds like you binned!) welshpug 1,666 Posted December 6, 2016 yep, the earth uses a 5 pin male plug (female contacts) Driving lamps use a female 2 pin yellow plug housing with male contacts.
soundguy 13 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the IDs and additional info, really helpful - this loom's been driving me nuts! Got a few more pics if you wouldn't mind (had to use imgur, having problems with the built in uploader: http://imgur.com/ejha6aB http://imgur.com/5VrhZVf http://imgur.com/NnNSmnQ http://imgur.com/xLa4GYm Edited December 6, 2016 by soundguy
welshpug 1,666 Posted December 6, 2016 not sure on the two black plugs, location doesnt ring a bell but the SAD and Injectors both use 2 pin plack plugs. yellow connector pictured is an earth. 3 pin blue and all connected to it is the cooling fan.
soundguy 13 Posted December 6, 2016 Thanks Mei, very helpful as always! The injectors are all connected, SAD isn't so that's one I can hook up. The brown plug near the gearbox, am I right in thinking that's the sensor loom for the three on the back of the block near the distributor, and two on the front under the intake next to the oil filter? welshpug 1,666 Posted December 6, 2016 yes, and the oil temp on the rear of the sump, and the starter solenoid if its a mid age vehicle, earlier cars had less wires in the plug though.
