Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted November 23, 2016 CTI mats tended to come with a Velcro fastening on the back and just grip to the carpet. This is what is on the back of my Roland Garros cabriolet sourced original mats.
steve@cornwall 100 Posted November 23, 2016 If you mean the clips that retain the carpet to the seam under the door seal, they haven't been used on any of my ctis. Instead a "ribbon" of red material is added to the carpet edge and retained by the door seal rubber. Seems to disintegrate and rot away very readily, separating as the carpet seems to shrink. Seam is thicker than tin tops too so I find the clips don't work as they are forced further open and the downward facing teeth don't grip the carpet.raise the carpet with some extra underlay and use a little contact adhesive by the sill seems to work well . I take it your carpet has the cti gap by the front of the door seal??
Powers 13 Posted November 23, 2016 Yes that's correct. I have one original seam clip so I will measure it up and find an alternative.
