Maniflow Race Manifold, Advice Please

Recommended Posts

Chuchy

Hi, I'm from Spain, I'm building a 205 gti rally car, my goals are 200bhp / 800kg.

I have some doubts, with the manifold to use. I have a magnex at home, but don't know if it would be enought for the 200 bhp mark.

I have seen the maniflow race manifold, it has really a good looking, but it is expensive, and I don't know if really it's worth the money. I don't know somebody who has one, maybe here, somebody can advise me, I don't mind buy it if really increases the power, and torque, very important in a rally car.

Regards

Do a search for an exhaust header calculator (or similar). There are plenty on the net, mostly based on Vizzard's book. Plug in your values and away you go. You don't mention double valve springs, so it can't be revving too much more than standard, and thus unlikely to make 200hp.

Ok, I will search it, thank you.

Yes, of course, double valve springs, lightened tapets, mpi valves...
