hi to all.

i have a xu92c engine on 405.

i changed the fuel system to mpfi with bosch m7.4.4 ecu.

also chaned headcylinder with xu7l4 with xu9j2 camshaft

swap the intake manifold with 205gti plastic manifold.

installed cdi kit to increase spark energy.

the compress is 190psi.

every thing is ok but acceleration is not good and engine makes power and torque lower than it should be.

thanks to all

What is the specification of an XU7L4 engine? The only similar engine code in the UK is XU7J4 but that is a 16v so you wouldn't be fitting an XU9J2 8v camshaft into one?

1760cc 8v..the head cylinder looks like xu9ja...combustion chamber velocity is about 30cc.

it increases the cr...and my engine compression is 190psi.

but engine is not powerful enough

How do the valve sizes and ports compare to an XU9JA?

The XU9J2 in 405 SRis and BX GTis makes power lower than an XU9JA and doesn't rev as high either IIRC, so I imagine the cam from an XU9J2 will be a factor in why you are making power lower than expected.

vavle size and port is same as ja...but there is some difference in combustion chamber.and i think maybe ja have more flow than l4.

so what is your suggestion to buy camshaft.?

oh...i think maybe the exhaust pipe isnt enough..45mm...i am skeptic on it.what do you think?

I guess it depends what is available to you but I would be looking for either an XU9JA camshaft or an aftermarket one probably.

A 45mm exhaust is good for about 130BHP I think although I am happy to be corrected?

tnx...but i think my engine doesnt make 130bhp...because i cant beat 206 tu5 110hp.

well i will looking for that camshaft.

another question...which camshaft is the best camshaft in xu engines?(8v)
